Monday, March 31st : Six Week Body Transformation Challenge begins!

Saturday, March 30th  nutrition seminar and kick-off meeting 11:30-12:30.

Cost: $40 which will be put in a kitty. A small portion of the kitty will be reserved for administrative and printing fees. First Place then receives 70% of the amount in the remainder of the kitty plus 50% off their next month’s investment. Second Place receives 30% of the kitty and 25% off their next month’s investment.

Food Journals will be provided for you. You can choose between using The Zone nutrition plan or the Paleo nutrition plan ONLY. The exception will be for those women who are already following a specific nutrition program for health or medical reasons. You must log everything that you eat and drink each day in that food journal in order to get points for that day. Points will be awarded for snacks and meals that are Zone or Paleo only and for eating 5 times a day (two snacks and 3 meals). NOTE: You will not get points for eating like crap or not eating at all. It is to your benefit if you log exactly what you eat. The women who saw the most results from the last challenge were those who mindfully tracked exactly what they ate, which means: do not write down “carrots” for a snack.  You must combine a protein, carb and fat in each meal in order to get points for that meal.

Strength Performance: You will be doing 1 pre-challenge workout which will have a time and quantity completion score. You will repeat this workout at the end of the challenge. The first workout will occur Monday, March 31st during each class time.  Improved Performance Points: Workout #1: 7 for 1st, 3 for 2nd.

Exercise Points: You get points for daily workouts; up to 6 possible points ea. week (allowing for 1 rest day per week). Points are awarded for boot camp workouts as well as exercising outside of your boot camp workouts. Biking, hiking, swimming, running, etc. Going for a walk or moving your body in a way you normally do during your day is not considered exercise in this Challenge.

Points will be awarded as follows:

Percentage of weight loss: 7 for 1st, 3 for 2nd. Percentage of body fat loss: 7 for 1st, 3 for 2nd. Percentage of Lean Muscle gained: 7 for 1st, 3 for 2nd. Total Inches lost: 7 for 1st, 3 for 2nd. Food journal: 1 point for each Paleo/Zone meal and snack per day (5 per day) for total possible points: 135. Exercise: 6 possible points ea. week for total possible points: 24. Improved Performance Points: Workout #1: 7 for 1st, 3 for 2nd.

 

December 2nd-11: Tighten Your Tummy in 10 Days for $10 Challenge!

Just in time for the holidays!!  Give your body a break in between Thanksgiving and Christmas! You don’t have to give in to the “Season of Sugar”! Lose up to 1” in your midsection in just 10 days!

November 30th: 7:30-8:30 am Nutrition Seminar and kick-off meeting for Tighten Tummy Challenge,

Saturday, December 14th: 9:30-10:30 Intro to Indoor Cycling Class.

Try a one hour intense cardio/interval training class! Bring your own bike. Arrive 15 minutes before class to set up. Bike trainers will be supplied. Limited to 10 women and must register on Mindbody. Cost: Free.

Saturday, December 14th: 11:00-12:00 Heart Rate Workshop.

You will learn the importance of understanding target heart rate and training zones, using both a heart rate monitor and RPE “rating of perceived exertion. Heart rate monitors not required but if you have one, bring it. Cost: Free.

Saturday, November 16th: 8:30-9:30 “Bring Your Favorite Boy for $5 Bucks” Workout. Let’s show our men what we do and see if they can do it too! Invite your husband/bodyfriend/brother/son(s)! If you are bringing your sons they need to be at least 15 years old.  Please RSVP! If this goes well we will look at adding a coed boot camp class to the schedule!

 ”My Best Body” 27 Day Body Transformation Challenge

There will be 2 formats to this Challenge – the first is for those of you who are interested primarily in weight/body fat/inches lost and the second is for those of you who also want to focus primarily on gaining lean muscle mass and strength (you will also lose weight/body fat/inches. This format will be ideal for those of you who don’t have a lot of weight/body fat/inches to lose).

Food Journals will be provided for you. You can choose between using The Zone nutrition plan or the Paleo nutrition plan ONLY. A nutrition seminar will be held Saturday, September 21st at 9:30 am at the gym. Weigh-ins will be held from 8:30 -9:15 am. The final weigh-ins will be held Saturday, October 19th at 8:30 am.  You will turn in your journals for the previous week at that time. Winners will be announced on Wednesday, October 23rd.

Saturday, September 21 9:00-10:00 am. Nutrition Seminar and Challenge Kick-off meeting.

Sept. 9- 18th: “Tighter Tummy in Ten Days” Challenge! Cost: $10 current clients. $64 women who are not yet clients but want to participate!

  • Drop at least a half inch off of your waist in 10 Days.
  • Receive a 10-day done-for-you meal plan put together by top Registered Dietician Cassandra Forsythe to eliminate all of the guess work when it comes to what to eat when to quickly whittle your waistline
  • Receive a 10-day workout program. Your boot camp training sessions will be designed to burn the most calories/fat and I will give you 100 “On The Road” workouts that use only your bodyweight, can be done anywhere and take less than 15 minutes.
  • Attend a free “Cardio Chaos” Class on Saturday, September 14th from 8:30-9:30 to Literally Scare the Fat Off of Your Body and Smoke Your Belly!

The kick-off meeting will be Saturday, September 7th from 9-10 am.

Wednesday, August 7th: Nutrition seminar 6:30-7:30 pm.  Cost $20 (if you are going to want a packet of info and are going to keep a 3 day food journal and have me review it with you). If you just want to come and listen/learn, the cost is free. Please rsvp to me no later than this Friday so I can have enough packets made.

Saturday, August 24th: “Cooking with Robyn” 5:30 – 7:00 pm. I will show you how to organize yourself so that you can prepare/cook your food for the entire week in one 3-4 hour time frame. I will feature all of my favorite Paleo recipes. You purchase the protein and the veggies, we come together and put them in freezer bags to cook for the week or freeze for later! Stay tuned for details!!

September 29th: All Women’s Bike Ride: Venus de Miles: http://colorado.venusdemiles.com/ 

All skill levels. This is NOT a race! You can choose between 3 courses: the “rolling 100 mile, “Calf-cramping 65 mile”, or the “28 mile jaunt”.Cost: $89. You also need to raise $75 for Greenhouse Scholars.

October 5th and 6th. Boot Camp Weekend in Moab!

Hanging out together, mountain biking, hiking. Tina Jahn’s Aunt has three townhomes in Rim Village. They are fairly new, very nice and they all have three bedrooms but some have one bed and others have two.   http://moabcondorentals.com/rim-village/

Cost: $200-$225 per night. So if we got 3-6 per townhome it would be $75- $150 or so each for the weekend.
